TEXAS, BEDFORD,
**JERSEY GIRL** Jersey Girl is a sweetheart who was rescued from the Mineral Wells Animal Shelter in Texas, but her rescuer is not able to give her a permanent home.
Typical of an LGD, she has proven to be protective of her new home and wary of visitors outside the family.
While wary of strangers, she is good with both men, women, and children in the family.
Jersey Girl is good with other dogs and cats, and she has been exposed to goats, horses, chickens, duck and geese without incidence while in her current home.
But we do NOT know if she is a trained livestock guardian.
As a young dog, she would need an experienced LGD owner if she is too be used to guard livestock.
Her current mom reports that she is good on leash, and with both vocal and hand signal basic commands such as SIT, STAY, and DOWN.
She has shown no food aggression. House-trained, not a wanderer or a digger. HW-, current on vaccines.
