Marty's story
Marty is an 85 lb., 3 year old, active, funny, snuggly guy, who loves attention, and would like nothing better than to be right next to his people all the time. Right now he is using a dog door into the backyard, and has no accidents in the house. Marty is great with his pyr foster sister and plays really well with the fosters cat. He loves to play, and run in the yard with the other dogs, loves dog toys, and loves to go for walks. He spends most days taking one toy out of the toybox, carries it into the yard, and then goes back to get the next toy, repeat until all toys are in the yard.
Marty would do great in a family with kids 10yrs +, he does not like being an only dog and would do best in a home where someone can help him know who is in charge. (We have no experience with him around smaller children). He was rescued just in time to avoid euthanasia and is loving life with his fosters. His thick, long hair could not be saved despite many baths and brushings, but he really seems to enjoy the cool, short do while we wait for the long fur to grow back. He really hates the crate, and we have not been using it

furniture is still intact. We may start crate familiarization to help with a future family, but we have not needed it. He really loves to be outside, but equally loves to sleep next to his people at night.
