This bike has been used primarily for long touring and has been incredibly reliable. The engine cases have never been opened, and (other than diligent, timely maintenance), no repairs have ever been needed.
This Valkyrie GL1500 has been METICIOUSLY and consistently maintained according to Honda's prescribed maintenance schedule. Oil has been changed religiously every 5,000 miles with synthetic oil and new filter by a very picky & disciplined owner. This may be the smoothest running motorcycle I have ever encountered.
This rowdy road bike starts right up, including when cold. The motor is extremely quiet, smooth, responsive and uber Fast. The suspension and brakes make this bike perform impeccably.

In addition, much LESS frequent rear tire replacement is needed.
