Overview

Maintains and safe and secure environment for all guests and associates. Protects all assets of the hotel and ensures compliance with policies and procedures. Conducts property walkthroughs to identify and correct potential hazards and breeches of security.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Report to work when scheduled, on time, in proper and clean uniform, including name tag. Personal appearance and grooming must conform with standard.

  2. Handle all duties according to hotel policies and procedures.

  3. Be knowledgeable about daily hotel operations, check log books and bulletin boards and be up to date with all changes, new procedures and events.

  4. Get a daily briefing about extraordinary events to effectively deal with all foreseen situations.

  5. Locate, identify, and document safety hazards and security breeches inside and outside the hotel, on company premises.

  6. Monitor electronic surveillance equipment as needed to observe activity within applicable areas.

  7. Answer phones in a professional and courteous manner.

  8. Use proper radio communication procedures.

  9. Patrol and observe all activities within the property.

  10. Respond quickly and investigate any incidents or accidents on property.

  11. Accurately and completely report in writing on any incidents or accidents on property.

  12. Ensure key control policies are strictly enforced.

  13. Maintain confidentiality with regard to information concerning guest or associate incidents/accidents.

  14. Ensure that only authorized hotel property/packages leave the premises.

  15. Report any unusual occurrences or requests to the manager.

  16. At all times strive to represent the Company and hotel brand in the most professional manner.

  17. Be disciplined at all times, stand alert and tall at the front desk, greet guests immediately and offer assistance before the Guest needs to ask. Focus your total attention to the customers.

  18. Be familiar with the AM, PM and overnight daily checklists to ensure smooth daily operations, and cross-train in other department areas as needed.

  19. Exhibit a friendly, helpful and courteous manner when dealing with guests and fellow employees.

Qualifications
  1. High School Diploma or equivalent
